I was wondering if a good deal of honing of materials might help, and you've inspired me to go for it.<br />And, that's a beautiful photograph.Llama_schoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02147431767209297915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6430891427414273196.post-11443085706287809532011-03-04T18:20:28.973-05:002011-03-04T18:20:28.973-05:00I believe in the "less is more" idea to ...I believe in the "less is more" idea to a certain extent. I have apprehensions when we cut out a whole vital segment of a classroom, i.e. creative expression. The ideal is to meet the needs of the individual child and allow the child's inherent concentration and contentment to grow in a holistic manner.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6430891427414273196.post-48951909164279616842011-02-27T00:32:56.771-05:002011-02-27T00:32:56.771-05:00Thanks for this post! It is very timely because I'm in the process of setting up a new home-school Montessori environment for my daughter since we have moved away from where her Montessori school was. I was fretting a bit over how much less choice in materials she will have in the new space. Now I feel much better about our situation! (now should I take away the art supplies and move them to a cupboard somewhere, hmmmmm!)2 little seeds- The Montessori Potentialhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14220154764632508984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6430891427414273196.post-72785440155994221332011-02-25T21:00:28.170-05:002011-02-25T21:00:28.170-05:00Susanne, Thx for the post. A few years ago we also cut back on the materials and the change in the children was amazing.N from the Learning Arkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11090391815249126797noreply@blogger.com
